Types of braces

Due to today’s technology, there are many options in the types of braces available to patients.  The numerous options allow braces to easily fit into your lifestyle and needs.

    • Metal

Metal braces are the most common type of braces.  They are made of high-grade stainless steel and are appropriate for all types of treatment.

    • Clear

Clear braces are ceramic braces that are clear or tooth-colored and are generally used by patients who want to minimize the visibility of their braces.

    • Innovation-R

Innovation-R is a revolutionary new system of braces that is not only faster for your orthodontist to use, it also can significantly shorten treatment time. It’s great looking and smaller for greater comfort, plus it offers better hygiene than conventional braces.

    • Gold

Gold braces are stainless steel braces coated with 24-karat gold.

    • Braceless braces – Invisalign®

Invisalign® is a series of clear and removable aligners that gradually straightens teeth.  This invisible way to straighten teeth is highly popular with adult patients.

  • Braceless Braces – Invisalign®

Dr. Kincaid is one of the top 5% of Invisalign® providers in the country.

Invisalign® is the invisible to way to straighten teeth by using clear, custom-made, removable aligners instead of braces.  You can straighten your teeth without anyone noticing and you can continue to eat and drink what you want.  The aligners are comfortable and do not cause mouth abrasions that would form with metal brackets.

Each pair of aligners is worn for approximately two weeks, which will gradually shift your teeth into your best smile.  The aligners are removable so you can take them out to eat, drink, brush and floss.
